It's not a motel.

It's housing that heals.

For more than 24 years, Joshua Station has transformed what was once a roadside motel along I-25 into a community where Denver families can find stability, belonging, and hope. Recent renovations have strengthened this beloved place for the families who call it home today—and those who will in the years ahead.

Will you help us finish what we started together?

Our Goal & Our Progress

Joshua Station's transformation is complete, creating safer, more dignified homes for the families who live there. These critical renovations were necessary to preserve and strengthen a community that many families rely on each year. Thanks to generous supporters, we've come a long way toward funding the $1.7 million project that made it possible, and every gift helps us close the remaining gap and reach the finish line. Here’s where we’re at:

Raised $1,238,076 so far!

THE CHALLENGE

Give up to give back.

Most of us are used to having some extra money to burn, but for the families we serve, that's simply not the case. What if we each gave up a want or two over the next few months to help our neighbors in need? Here are a few ideas to start, but be creative!

The Streamer

$10/month

Pause one of those streaming services (that you don't watch anyway) and help a local unhoused family get back on their feet.

The Macchiato

$25/month

The average price of a grande caramel macchiato from you know where is about $6.50. Just give up one a week!

The Guac

$50/month

When did a burrito, chips, guac and a drink start costing $25? Pack a lunch twice a month instead - give back and save 1500 calories!

THe Red Rocks

$100/month

Give up a concert, a hockey game, or another event - and get a few friends on board to multiply your impact for good!

The Getaway

$250/month

Got a vacation coming up? Come home a night early and use that money to give another family a great place to stay.

What is Joshua Station?

When you drive past this building on I‑25, you might assume it’s just another old motel. But look again.

This isn’t a place where people check in and check out. It’s where families check into a new life.

At Joshua Station, we welcome parents and children who’ve endured the trauma of homelessness — and offer them more than a room. We offer stability. We offer dignity. We offer hope.

Because it’s not a motel. It’s a mission.

A Need We Can't Ignore

Over 3,000 families in Denver are currently unhoused

living in cars, couch-surfing, or worse. Joshua Station exists to change that reality. And you can help us.

Housing That Heals

Real-Life Stories of Transformation

"I hadn’t slept in a bed of my own since 2018."

“The moment I walked into my new room at Joshua Station, I cried just seeing the bed. I hadn’t slept in a bed of my own since 2018. At best I would be in my car for naps or hiding on a workplace floor, going weeks hardly sleeping at all.”

- Jenny

"I hadn’t known if we could make it as a family."

“When I came to Joshua Station, my self-confidence was very, very low. When my family advocate showed me into our unit and I saw a beautiful sign that said ‘Family,’ it made me cry. I hadn’t known if we could make it as a family."

- Maria

"I was able to accomplish so many things that I had put off for so many years."

“My time here at Joshua Station was a time for me to work on myself as a person and to work towards being a better mom. I was able to accomplish so many things that I had put off for so many years, having a place to call home was such a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.”

- Crystal
